About Us

Kefken Ahşap Dekorasyon has been fabricating and installing timber work from its workshop in Arnavutköy, Istanbul, since 2009. Our founder and master craftsman is Murat Şen.

How did Kefken Ahşap begin?

Murat Şen grew up working with wood alongside his carpenter father and took up the trade full time as a young man. In 2009 he founded Kefken Ahşap Dekorasyon. Our craft has been in the same family for two generations. The motto from our old website still holds: a love of wood that carries tradition into the future.

What do we do?

We fabricate and install work in all kinds of timber and pressure-treated timber:

• Decking and flooring
• Pergolas, gazebos and verandas
• Wooden structures and facade cladding
• Railings, fences and garden gates
• Bridges and piers
• Stairs
• Planters and seating
• Doors, cabinets and partitions
• Iroko and teak work, boat joinery
• Furniture and finishing
• Painting, repair and maintenance

How do we work?

The same hands fabricate and install. We do the site visit and measurements on site, prepare the parts in our own workshop and install them with our own team, with no middleman. After handover you still have a craftsman to call for maintenance, repair and refinishing. We also maintain and repair timber work built by other companies.

Where do we work?

Most of our work is in Istanbul. We have also worked in other parts of Türkiye and abroad, in Libya. As well as villa owners, we work for residential complex managements, institutions, hotels, marinas and boat owners. We also take on hard and large jobs such as bridges and piers.
