Garden Furniture
We make benches, picnic tables, dining sets, seating sets, loungers, swings and outdoor kitchens in timber to fit your garden, and restore worn garden furniture.

Our work
Kefken Ahşap Dekorasyon makes timber furniture for gardens, terraces and balconies: benches, picnic tables, table and chair sets, seating sets, coffee tables, loungers, swings, hammock stands and outdoor kitchens. We prepare the pieces to measure in our own workshop. We also sand, oil and varnish worn garden furniture.
What pieces of garden furniture do you make?
- Benches: With or without a backrest, straight or L-shaped.
- Tables and chairs: Dining tables with thick boards, folding chairs, picnic tables and bench sets.
- Seating sets and coffee tables: Armchairs used with cushions, and a coffee table in front.
- Loungers, swings and hammock stands: Pieces for resting by the pool or in the garden.
- Outdoor kitchen: Base cabinets, doors and slatted timber cladding, planned together with the oven or hob area.
Fixed seating built onto a wall or a planter falls under Planters and Seating.
What timber is used for garden furniture?
Furniture that stays outdoors needs timber that stands up to water and sun. Pressure-treated pine is an economical choice and lasts a long time with regular varnish or oil. Hardwoods such as iroko and teak have high natural durability; their extractives make them resistant to rot and insects, and teak is also very oily. The finish can be varnish, oil or paint.
How does a garden furniture job work?
- Briefing: We talk about where the furniture will go, how many people will sit and the look you want. A photo of an example you like speeds things up.
- Measurement and quote: We settle the dimensions, the timber and the finish, and prepare a quote.
- Workshop fabrication: The parts are cut, joined and sanded, and the finish is applied.
- Delivery: The furniture is brought to you; large pieces and outdoor kitchens are assembled on site.
How do you maintain garden furniture?
Sun fades the colour of the wood and rain wears away the protective coat. Moving the furniture under cover or covering it in winter makes it last longer. When the surface turns dull, or water soaks into the wood instead of sitting on top in drops, it needs a light sanding and a new coat of oil or varnish. Teak left untreated usually turns silver-grey; this is not rot, and it can be brought back to a warm tone with sanding and oil if you wish. Loose screws and joints are tightened during the same work.
Frequently asked questions
Do you make garden furniture to measure?
Yes. We size tables, benches and seating sets to your space and the number of people who will sit.
Which timber should I choose for garden furniture?
Pressure-treated pine is the economical option; iroko or teak suit a surface that needs less care. We decide together after looking at how much sun and rain the furniture will get.
Can my old garden furniture be restored?
Yes. Sanding, tightening loose joints and a new coat of oil or varnish bring worn furniture back.
Do you also make outdoor kitchens?
We make the timber cabinets, doors and cladding of outdoor kitchens. We plan the layout of the oven, hob and worktop together at the site visit.
What determines the price?
The size of the furniture, the number of pieces, the timber and the finish set the price. We give an exact figure once the dimensions and timber are settled.
